With release of Cisco IOS 15.0 universal image, Cisco had made a brilliant attempt to curb piracy but along with that many students are left helpless because it is not possible for students to purchase Cisco ISR G2 Licenses just for training themselves but Cisco provides evaluation licenses for all Cisco routers. Here are the steps to generate a evaluation license -
Step 1 -
Create a user profile on Cisco.com because an active CCO ID is required to generate evaluation license.
Step 2 -
Go to the following link -
And select the product for which the trial license has to be generated.You can also generate trial license for various other products or download trial softwares from here.
Now the catch is, You can generate trial license for any serial number only once but you can generate one license for every license type (Data, Voice & Security). These are actually the trial licenses which Cisco is offering for customer demos & POCs but students can also use them to enhance their skills.
